Tumble Classes

Our tumble classes are structured with a strength building element to all levels from forward rolls to tucks and twists.

Pre-K Tumble (ages 3 – 5)

3 – 5 year old beginners
45 minutes
Requirements: none

Overview of learning elements:
– strength/coordination
– body awareness
– listening, behavior and retention
– foundation for forward rolls/cartwheels/tabletop

Tumble 101

6 years old and up
1 hour
Requirements: basic body awareness, strength & coordination

Overview of learning elements:
– solid bridge (lifting legs & arms)
– solid forward roll
– solid backward roll
– solid cartwheel
– foundation of handstands for new students
– continuing working on understanding of handstands
– connecting front roll and backward roll correctly

Tumble 201

6 years old and up
1 hour
Requirements: Master all learning elements from tumble 1 and below

Overview of learning elements:
– introduce and master round offs
– introduce and master back walkovers
– introduce and master front walkovers
– work on connection of skills

Tumble 3

6 years old and up
1 hour
Requirements: Master all learning elements from tumble 2 and below

Overview of learning elements:
– Standing tuck
– Round off tuck
– Round off hand tuck
– Layouts

Tiny Tumble (ages 4 - 6)

4 – beginner 6 year olds
45 minutes
Requirements: some body awareness and knowledge of forward roll & cartwheel

Overview of learning elements:
– strength/coordination
– listening, behavior and retention
– independent forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, bridges
– begin teaching the foundation of handstands

Tumble 1

6 years old and up
1 hour
Requirements: Master all learning elements from tumble 101

Overview of learning elements:
– introduce and master a backbend
– introduce and master backbend kickovers
– master handstand holds
– introduce and master handstand fall to bridge
– master cartwheel
– introduce cartwheel connections
– introduce and master front limber

Tumble 2

6 years old and up
1 hour
Requirements: Master all learning elements from tumble 201 and below

Overview of learning elements:
– introduce and master back handsprings
– introduce and master front handsprings
– master running handsprings
– connection of skills
